Today marks day seven of my resistance training journey. While I'm still feeling the effects of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) from my first workout, I was determined to show up for today's session. I knew it would take more than a couple of weeks to form a new habit. With research showing it takes about 66 days on average for a behavior to become automatic, I was focusing on building consistency rather than immediate results.

As I began my workout, I could feel the pain in certain parts of my body, but I pushed through it and completed the session. This is just a temporary discomfort, and the benefits of resistance training will far outweigh any momentary pain.

In addition to my workouts, I've also been researching ways to help my body recover from the stress of training. For example, I've started looking into post-workout supplements, strategies, and ways to prepare my body for the demands of resistance training.

Overall, my consistency is becoming more robust, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me. While I know there will be challenges and setbacks along the way, I'm committed to pushing through and making resistance training a consistent part of my routine.
